Each of the requirements has a number next to it representing how important that requirement is. 1 = not that important, and 10 = Extremely important and you must be perfect at it.

IRC Admin/Scripters
Description: Responsible for day to day maintenance, security, and scripting of our IRC server.
--At least 18 years of age (8)
--Expert knowledge of Unreal IRCd (10)
--Ability to script moderately complicated bots/programs for a channel (10)
--Able to monitor the IRC around the clock and keep up with related forum posts (8)

Please do not apply for the position if you do not meet all of the requirements. These requirements were set as minimum requirements for a very good reason. We need people that are 100% able to do the job, and for this reason we are picky about who is eligible to fill the position. If you are accepted into the position(s) you will be required to be EXTREMELY active with this position. For example, if you take Calendar Admin then you will be required to not only maintain the site calendar, but approve events, post new events, and persuade people to use the calendar.

I'm trying to allow people to be more involved in the community - cuz it is your community, too. But I want to make sure I entrust someone that will actually get the job done. So only apply if you feel you can be extremely active in your responsibilities. Serious applicants ONLY!

We're looking for another NetAdmin/Scripter. The scripting capabilities are optional, but definitely preferred. You must have expert knowledge of Unreal and Anope.

I have no knowlegde about unreal IRCd. because I never ran a server of my own. I did help Chris quite a lot.

--Relevant experience/previous experience: I haven been an ircop for about four or five ircs and i have been a previous irc scripter for Tsu last summer.
--Additional information you feel is important: I am currently in college and tomorrow is actually my last day then it is winter break and i wont have much to do-other than working-and i have been asking Fl00d about this position for a while but i have finally decided to come here and ask it in the right forum. I will admit that i am not an expert at scripting and it has been a while since i have scripted but i am wanting to do some scripting this break so im certain i will regain the knowledge. Also, i am very eagar to find new way to get more people to come to IRC--so i will be thinking of many creative ideas.

Cotsuma: I've seen your post, so don't think that no one has seen it. It's just that right now the IRC is pretty dead so I don't see a reason to rush adding another oper.

If you can find a medium sized IRC that is willing to link with us and let us run services -- OR -- can find another 20-30 active users .... I'll gladly give you oper.

You can also help with scripts/games/etc. if you'd like (right now).

--I am a fairly good scriptor in mIRC and I no most of the functions of it, I have made my own bot that can do many different things, I think my skills would be good in this job.
--Umm just I'm mostly trying to get back and active in this community, I used to be fairly active when I was a beta tester for NR but after NR was cancelled I just mostly died from this community.

Just kinda rated myself here.

--Able to monitor the IRC around the clock and keep up with related forum posts I will start becoming more active on the IRC server, but I cant keep my internet on 24/7 (5)

He can script, I know that. But I don't have access to the IRC script team usergroup myself, so I can't physically add him.

About the NA apply: he told me he didn't really intend to apply for the NA part -- it was just there.

I know that last time I was in it, I wasn't all too experienced, but I'm better at scripting now and I've made my own bot with a couple of games. No doubt if people made suggestions, I can try and make games based on other people's ideas, plus make games based on my own ideas.

So, yeah. I'd love to help script a bot for TSU. Here's hoping you can do with another scripter.

Okay, I'll think of an idea or two when I'm at work today. Probably make an 8ball script and a quote system with mod commands or something.
