If you mean AFTER the first post (which has been edited) ... then that's normal.
The reason is that you can specify a unique subject for each post. So if the topic is "Sometopic" and you reply to it, you can change it to "adlfkjadlfj" and that will be shown as your post's topic. But if you don't change it, the default stays. Point is: each post has its own database entry for "subject" so when you go to the very first post and edit the title (subject) it changes it for that post and that post only.
When you're looking at a list of topics, it shows the topic (subject) for the first post only. So if the first post's subject was "1" and the second was "2", third was "3", etc. Then the name of the topic in the forum list would be "1".
