You cant just boot up Vista, plug in many years worth of accessories and expect them to work. It sounds like you have had that mic for a while, and so like Killer said, You would probably be better off getting another one, rather than trying to make the one you have work. Or you can take it to a shop, they are quite good at making things (like headsets or sound card drivers) work. Course.. it might cost more than a new headset would, but thats up to you bud. Its a lot easier to service when you are actually there trying different things.
And No, I dont know how bad your old computer might have been, and you never talked about that before in this thread, so that means nothing to me. Titles such as "My Mic isnt working with a new computer" would be a whole lot better.
