This announcement serves the purpose of answering that question for you while briefly explaining our leadership/management structure.
Explained by role:
WEBSITE/FORUMS
- Danpaul88 is our Network Administrator and is in charge of managing and maintaining the core components of TGN. Therefore he has the access and authority to fix any website or forum issue.
- Some sub-communities and clans have their own websites (such as http://lol.tsugaming.com which is the League of Legends sub-community website). These websites are entirely managed by their own staff. So you'll have to talk to whoever is in charge of that sub-community. If it is a forum issue, then either Danpaul or a forum moderator.
- There are three levels of forum moderators: Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3. Tier 1 is the highest level and has the broadest coverage of forums as well as the most moderating options. Tier 2 is a bit more restricted and Tier 3 can only before limited functions. If you need a post edited, a topic removed/moved, etc. in a general forum then contact a forum moderator. Any sub-community forum issues should be directed to whoever moderates their forum for them (usually the sub-community leader).
- Server Administrators are limited. Usually only the managers of active sub-communities are given SA. Just because a person holds a high rank in the community does not entitle them for teamspeak server administrator. The reason is more or less the security concern associated with having too many top-level accounts for one server. Server administrators are a final authority for any event on the server. If they tell you not to do something: don't. If you feel they're being abusive, make a post on the forums.
- Many users (especially sub-community managers) have channel admin for their channels. If you need help with a channel, as a channel admin. Follow the rules of the channel (if specified) and obey channel admins.
- Game server admins are appointed/approved by a sub-community manager. It is not possible to have an official TGN server run by an administrator who is not managed by a sub-community manager. If you have a game server for a game we already have a sub-community for and would like to contribute it to TGN, contact the community manager and he will discuss it with you.
- Clans are overseen by the Clan Manager. The role of the Clan Manager is NOT to manage the day-to-day operations of your clan. The role of the Clan Manager is to supervise the formation of clans within the TGN. Only the Clan Manager can allow/approve or kick/reject official TGN sponsored clans. If you have a clan that you want to be a part of the community, discuss it with the Clan Manager.
Always follow the chain-of-command. This means that you should always try to resolve your issue (or have your question answered) by the lowest ranking member first. If you do not get a satisfactory answer, escalate the issue to that person's boss. If you still do not receive a satisfactory answer continue to escalate it. Please note that a "satisfactory answer" does NOT mean 'getting the answer you want to hear'. It means that your question was answered or the issue was addressed properly.
This is the order of contact that you should follow when trying to resolve an issue:
- The individual you have a dispute with / the individual you have a question for
- Moderators
- Administrators
- Managers
- Community Manager
- Nightma12
- fl00d3d
If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask in this topic.
