Website Changes/Update

Post by fl00d3d »

I will be doing two major things with the forums over the next couple of days (starting right now):
  1. Updating the forum code base/core to the latest version. This may break some modification functionality and links. If you find something that isn't working, let me know in a post below.
  2. Migrating the forums to http://forums.tsugaming.com (I will setup http://tsugaming.com/forums to automatically forward there). At the same time that I do this, I will be creating a NEW (fresh) copy of phpBB 3.0.10 (latest version) there and installing the latest version of all the mods I want to keep to that copy. This step will produce a very clean and more up-to-date forum that accommodates future projects that are upcoming - but at the same time it is expected to cause a lot of file path errors and break links. There is no easy way to do this, so I'm just going to do it and hope for the best (fixing any problems as they arise).
Please be patient with me as I make these changes. PHP is not my native language and I have a full plate of work outside of this website that prohibits me from spending too much time per day working on this. Regardless, Teamspeak will remain online and fully functional. Our Facebook page will be online at all times for discussions.

Part one is "complete" (functional). I'm stopping there for the night. I know that there are mods that aren't working 100%, but I'll get to them eventually. I will be putting the bulk of my efforts into the new setup (rather than trying to fix this version).

Again, please be patient with me as I keep things moving forward.
