Aye. Components 'age' differently due to a multitude of variables (primarily: operating temperature).
Basically, what I'm saying is: hotter parts of a computer (hard drive, processor, memory, graphics) can, and most likely will fail before other parts of the computer (unless kept under ideal conditions 100% of the time).
Just elaborating, because some people don't understand how to keep computers from having hardware failure.
... and for the record (in case you think I'm answering you, raul): yes, I know you were just pointing that fact out, which is why I added the previous line.

Hardware failure isn't as common as most people think. Unless, of course, you're running a computer it a hot room and you leave it on 24/7.
As for the beeping thing, the number of beeps tells you EXACTLY what the problem is. So if you can count the number and type of beeps then you can figure out what the problem is by looking it up in the manual. All computers work that way, btw (beeps being very specific). It's NOT like it just beeps and that means "there is a problem". Your mobo will actually work hard to tell you exactly what is going on.

To be honest, when my computer beeped, it was too rapid to count, and it never ended even after an hour... :/
