Wow... I suppose you never know who the next hacker will be.

But, since Ompster only just started playing and people can vouch for him, we should give him the benifit of the doubt. I think we should ban him for a few months (about 3 sounds right) and if he still wants to play in the server again and shows remorse, he can play, with mods keeping an eye on him. After all, we are a 'rehabilitation community'.

Still though, I find it hard to believe you could 'accidentally' download a hack like bighead and 'accidentally' put it in your data folder, and 'not notice it' during the game. But then again, you would have to be dumb to put them in and not expect to get caught.

^That was hard to type, I don't see any mistakes but I'm just slightly intoxicated.

ompster used to be around in the good ol days - when it was All Out Gaming (which is shown at the very top of the server listings in that vid... lol - we used to have the very top a00's back on old WOL lol) He did in fact make the AOhost logo.... so lol - i personally would give him a week-2 week ban, but then again this isnt exactly a petty incident :/

No. We have to come down hard no matter who he is, but still give him the benefit of the doubt. We can't get a reputation for leniency, favouritism or corruption like so many other people in renegayd do (not naming anyone).

There is no favoritism. I don't care who you are: if you cheat you're banned.

So the question is: do we believe that he was screwed over, or did he knowingly cheat?

Personally, I don't think someone would take the time to register on the forums and get to know everyone then load up their favorite cheat and hope they don't get banned. I also think that this is a black and white case: either he's banned or he's not. This temporary crap wouldn't solve anything no matter how you look at it.

Ompster: where did you get your skins from? Can you provide a link, installation program, zip, or rar of the skins you installed? So that we can investigate your claim? I've seen this happening more and more recently.

It was just on my old hard drive when i used to play? I did use cheats when i was playin lan games with my friends from skool but never online u even had renguard installed back then, ALSO i was a mod on nightmas's server. just a file called "Havoc_c.w3d" i sent it to lee.

tbh this is starting to sound like you cheated back before cheats were detected and came back to a Renegade community that has learned how to detect and fight cheats.

You seem like a nice guy and all, but I'm really torn on what to do. Seeing as the evidence is 100% and the backstory doesn't provide a valid excuse, I really don't think the ban should be lifted. Nothing personal. This was the wrong community to cheat in, that's all I gotta say. We have a zero-tolerance rule.

Ok, heres an update.

I just went in game with this big head model to double check - as i was wondering if the W3D viewer was 'zooming in' on the head and i was in fact correct..

The model seemed normal size ingame =/ - but what on earth triggered biatch? You would of had to shoot at the 'big head' for biatch to trigger a 'Big Head' alert.

if you check the logs you will notice that I did not kill anyone and was only in game for a few secconds?
