If you want to talk numbers, Mofire: how many people are active in clanwars.cc (ie. play regular clanwars)? Now how many don't and/or aren't even a part of clanwars.cc? 90% of this community has nothing to do with (or isn't active in) clanwars.cc. I'm not knocking on them in that regard, but you can't use statistics like that to defend your argument when the majority of people are pub players only.

No doubt .cc has some good player. And no doubt I'd be better than 90% or more of those .cc player with one week of warm up. But I can't get into competition for this game when there are so many cheats. The paranoia of playing someone I think is cheating, but they're actually clean, has ruined Renegade. I've been accused of cheating a shitload of times, including by my own co-admins and admins.

Anyway, cheating isn't even the fundamental problem here. If people would stop being unethical about gaming and rubbing their juices all over every player they can beat, it'd be more fun. Rather than beating some n00b and saying "lol you suck, why don't you try ____ next time" they say "rofl you have downs go cut your wrists". It must make them feel better to be better at something in life than they are so they have to put it down. It's no different in real life when you have bullys. And its a legitimate internet epidemic (professionals say this too) that I think its immature and ignorant. We all bought this game and others to have fun. Talk your sh*t, but I think there is a line. And a lot of .cc players cross that line. Even the ones that have no right to (and its even worse on pub servers).

If that really is Poison, I've never had any beef with him and had he been on his real name none of those pubbers would have even known who he was and I would have handed him more default respect. But when some random name tells me they're super pro in an apc because I missed half my shots using some shitty ren scripts I'm not used to ... I'm going to get upset.

Go ask spoony, for his whole statistics of the league, I bet theres been quite a few decent players in there. More than public servers would ever produce.

Why does 2.9 not work with you? I get a static 60 fps. When i take of my V-sycn varies between 80-140. Meh i dont know think its poison.. its a fizzle nickname tbh...

If you gauge "quality" in clanwars.cc as people who are better than me or on a similar level as me, there are probably about 10 or so. I've played with most of those people at least once and have seen how they've played. And a lot of them talk more smack than they should. Mofire, you know that I'm a good player - but I don't play .cc (anymore), so there are definitely people who are decent pub. players and don't play on .cc.

But considering that you come into a public server with players you know are at least "decent" (Stonecold is good, I'm good, and there are many other 'decent' players on our server) and talk sh*t about them and act like you're immortal. And you do it from a smurf nick. It's a typical .cc sentiment that turns me off to the competition of this game.

let's run down the things you mentioned...

- loading advantage skins. They're not allowed in Clanwars.cc, I made it so some considerable time ago
- netrate 30. hmmm. well, it doesn't actually increase your damage or splash or anything
- sbbo. I can only think of one time someone's done that in a clanwar, and they were punished for it.
- playing in servers while watching from IRC. again, only one instance of someone doing this in Clanwars.cc springs to mind, and he was suspended for doing so. what's very interesting is you made a point of saying what a good player he is, but almost nobody at Clanwars.cc thinks so about him. Perhaps mofire, but nobody else.

in a nutshell, the vast majority of the "pros" at clanwars.cc are nothing like you're describing, they aren't unsportsmanlike players either. sure, there are a few bad apples, just like there are in every community.

I think it's more a case of: in the 1 in 100 occasions when a clanwars.cc player acts like a dick, you remember it. the other 99 occasions, you have nothing to remember.

has anyone played us in a community match, for instance? anyone who has will tell you we play with a high level of fairness and sportsmanship.

Except we (i.e. Clanwars.cc) have played plenty of community matches against other communities (I'm talking dozens) and we have always played in a sportsmanlike manner, never starting any flamewars etc. Never. Ask anyone we've played.

I just like going into your server and stomping all over the little pedestal some of your guys have built up for themselves because they think they are the all mighty for stomping on noobs, thats what irritates me so ill go in there and mess up their streak or whatever or kill them and they will start crying and talkin sh*t. I find it pretty funny actually. I dont care for this game as much as i used to cuz its just a dying game sort of speaking. I havent played a cw in 3 weeks or so and have kinda moved away from ren but aint gonna lie it is fun comin on here and ruining someones high horse they got from stomping on noobs

In that case then you can stay banned, thats not the kind of players we want in the server, why go on a server 'just to cause problems' and then complain when your banned? Surely you was just asking for it? Esp doing it to a mod.... Mod Disrespect ftw
