Whats wrong with transport helis? Can't multiple people get inside? Use that as a decoy maybe, or use it to get to the HoN on City_Flying with infantry, than 1 of them goes and gets the Strip, than another 1 or 2 goes for Ob. Possible? Yes, very.

Now, if they were just flying around your base doing nothing, that should be a verbal warning than a !warn. You seem to have forgotten the '!warn' command. :/

Simple... when theres 4 orcas flying and 1 havoc and a pic, I think that heli wont even make it out the base, Let alone with a decent renegade player driving. But this guy was just spinning around in our base.

This is renegade, And as fl00d3d has already said, he wanted 04 to be a pro/good place to play for the decent AoW players in this game, And you can try a decon with us, it really wont work. Trust me.

You're right its possible, But only playing with people like the guy fl00d3d banned who was just spinning around in our base, (probably dident no how to go up)

All of what you said is not possible in 04 when the decent people are around, Prove me wrong i bet you it aint happening..

Warn a n00b who probably dosent no what the f*ck hes doing? are you serious... its like an afk player who gives away points. Its stupid. the ban is right. But maybe not permanent maybe half a year ban till he gets better.

Fl00d3d has already said he wanted this server to be for where all the good players can come and have fun, we certainly dont have fun when a guy is spinning around in our base giving away points. Getting him out the game actually helped alot.

I'd suggest making it an official rule so that we don't have to debate this, but there is NO point ... in any situation ... to buy a flying coffin (what anyone know knows how to play Renegade call transport helis). If you want to load up transportation with multiple people, buy an APC. It's cheaper, too. And just for the record, the two people that were banned were buying them and flying around ONLY in our base and getting in the way. One guy was parking them on top of structures and kept saying "I need repairs! ... I need repairs!". It was really annoying.

Both videos look extremely n00by to me (and not the style of gameplay we encourage on our server).

There are plenty of servers out there, but only a few have quality gameplay. I try to keep this server as pro as possible (on pub. standards)

Transports should be taken out, lol. It really is just another form of team hampering. It's like when people sit there and talk for half the game and let people go by them.

I suggest at least have a vote on taking the heli out, though it doesn't look like anyone opposes it. Maybe just do it..

To clarify: I did not permanently ban the two transport chopper n00bs. They were both !kick'd. And no, they didn't get a warning. I just temp banned them. But they should have got the picture after their whole team was yelling at them and the enemy was laughing. One guy had put one on top of the WF so I pushed it off with my orca. What'd he do? Bought another and did the same thing and said "I NEED REPAIRS!". That's when he got kicked.

But again, the transport helis is not what this topic is about. It's about a guy I feel was using rgh/radar and was banned for it. And I already shared my story when I don't have to ... and left it up to my admins, when I don't have to. So I think that's more than fair. Move on.

sorry to remain moderately off-topic in a game I really don't play a lot anymore, but why not disable transports like killer said? they're rarely bought and when they are, they're not used for anything productive [unless you count on walls_flying {I think?} where you can carry snipers to the top of the mountain/plateau dealy in the middle of the map]

just the 2 cents about the transport~


as for the ban, if your story is legitimate (which I assume it is), the ban is respectable and should remain for now, but possibly removed after X amount of time.

We try not to make any server side modifications on this OldSchool server. Even if it means something subtle like that. I'm sure it could be done, but 99% of people are smart enough not to buy them ... and sometimes the server is filled with pros who are just having fun (and in those cases, when no one minds, I dont mind).

in other words theres always a time and a place to mess around and have fun
