However, I like the idea of having a normally powered chicken as the disease carrier. Maybe we could have the Nod player be the chicken, and have GDI spawn as any random character from GDI or Nod OR secret characters

What about useing a random mutant char for the infected?

and yes thats the plan, ALL character models that arnt used for 'infected' could be possible for a random char for GDI. including ALL secret models.
Needs the person with the disease to have special weapons, regenerate health, things that used to be on there.
They do ahve all that, but only when more than 2 people are ingame.

Im not so sure about that now.... Im thinking id rather use a random mutant char for the infected.... and leave the chicken out of this mode completely. Its just too small i think.


On second thoughts.... im thinking its best if the character you get to play at at the start of the game.. is the character you remain as for the REST OF THE GAME always, even when infected. That way it makes more sence and you can always reconise people rather than having the infected a a mutant? Have the mutant as a random character. - Then maybe have the chicken as a random character too as a 'lucky spawn' ?

What do you think?

nd having a little differentiation in maps would be nice, so players have to adapt to the server instead of make an easy change between the two
Im planning to copy paste the maps from mutation and change them slightly to make them suitable for this game mode. So that can be done ;)

Sounds good to me, I guess that's why I couldn't keep killing Darkdarr last night, needed another person.

And yeah, I like the idea you have for the characters, that would work out pretty well

Random weapons would be horrendous. Then people fighting over DNA will have a huge advantage.

wth do chickens play a role in an outbreak amongst humans? This isn't Mutation.

Overkill..... What happened to the simple changes....

Yes, they would give a slight advantage

But there are LUCKY spawns, useless spawns, semi-good spawns, all kinds of weapons. heck, if we could, we could make a completely good weapon that owns, like the mutant spit in mutation

hmm

Well at the moment - the person with the DNA gets extra guns. I think im going to change the guns that they get later on though.

I dont want it to get too powerful weapons around though. Perhaps chaingun..... normal sniper rifle. No more.

What do you think?

There is one problem with the characters, i joined and i was nod chem, and it was not boned (was stiff like dinosaur.) The problem with them not being boned is, no crouching ability or fluid movement. Also, when you stick your gun are around a corner, and you use v-key, you can shoot someone without coming out form cover.

I just checked this and its actually a bug in Resurection.

If we change the player model, RR dosunt correctly load the bones. =/

If you join without RR.. its fine. If you join with RR it fucks up.

The other way to do this would be to actually use ChangeCharacter, which will mess up the player healths, create the problem with false DamageHack detections. and we wont be able to use civilian or secret characters =|

Useing ChangeChar is out of the question.

so its either leave it as it is... or not have random characters at all.
