If he is using some sort of leaked Win8 build I am not surprised if he has problems, it's still in development! You can't judge the performance or compatibility of an OS based on a leaked development copy thats probably chock full of bugs....

Guess you didnt read a previous post. He is a developer for microsoft. Part of his work is to test on multiple machines which is why im able to get a few keys when it gets to that point.

meh would love to have it but will probably wait till a stable build because i dont know how to make that partition so i can install it then choose to boot in win8 or win7...

also as a side note i only have win7 home edition...
EDIT: so by the look of this windows 7 home can run virtual machines and the upgrade key is 80 bucks so this is not happening for me

Well I use VMware Workstation Witch is $180, But VMware also has a player edition that also uses Virtual Machenes and this is free.
I never used this but I know Sun has a program called virtual Box that might work.

Although... can't say I am keen on the new start... thing.... that replaces the venerable old start menu, but I shall reserve judgement until I have chance to actually try it tonight....

Ironic.
Windows Virtual PC cannot run Windows 8 (x86)
Oracle VirtualBox can run Windows 8 (x86)
....

Windows 7 works pretty well. 32 bit is ok, but 64 is where its really at. Especially if you are running a higher end gaming rig. Can get more usage out of your hardware with x64
