doesn't sound like a piece by piece build like I did.. (went to newegg and found each piece separately), but it seems a little bit high.

and 650W will be pushed to the max, go atleast 800W with dual 8800s..

TBH my Intel Never spikes... and it never heats up that alarmingly. I wouldnt mind some proof of that, and based off the new intel processors, to compare to AMD's new lineup... not compared to old Intel Versus New AMD...

Combine this with their Far superiour overclocking ability... Intel FTW in my honest opinion.

From that article you mentioned:
"The company's (AMD) financial situation is precarious right now, and it needs all the revenue it can muster."

In case the processor died, I would rather be sticking with the bigger company, wouldnt you? If AMD went bankrupt, what about customer support? Thrown out the window.

But.. whatever makes you happy :)

If you're like me, then you say "to hell with customer support" to that -- I've never needed it, nor do I think I'd ever use it unless I couldn't figure out a fix on my own. ;)

Only thing you really even need AMD's site for is drivers anyway, and usually the better drivers for the processor come with the motherboard, unless the processor is much much newer than the motherboard, in which case the company is probably still fine. tp((

True, but you also need to consider the fact that since Intel is the bigger market share (far bigger) that means that everything will be optimized for Intel, before it is optimized for AMD. Programs, hardware, Operating systems, etc. will be made to work for Intel First. It just makes sense.

Not that I dislike AMD.. on the contrary, it makes prices compedative and keeps them lower. :) which is all around better for everyone.
