Wow. You couldn't give a damn about banning someone permanently for no good reason apart from your mistake. Awesome approach.

I use stanks and know how to sneak out of NOD to get to GDI and use the same way myself, so I know exactly where to look for stanks, and that is what I was doing.

How on earch you could think I wasn't hitting you is beyond me. I saw you when you were in the corner, from the flickering of bullets I was shooting. I also saw you dodging behing the rock several times and had to cast around to find you. From what I remember, I eventually lost you anyway, as I don't think I killed your stank, did I?

Using the rock as a shield - well, you can, but you have to stay still, and you weren't, you were dodging back and forth, and every time you popped out into my bullets I saw you. Why do you think I was following you - it was because I could see you. It only takes one bullet to light up a stank, and I expect that not many were hitting you, but as one apc bullet doesn't exactly do a lot of damage I guess you didn't realise I was hitting you.

You made the assumption that I was new to Ren - well I have been playing since 2001, and guess what, I am not that bad at playing it these days and can find a damned stank with an APC.

A new player that wasn't doing well. You have to be kidding right ? I may be new to Tsu but I am no way a new player, and as for not doing well - hmmph.

As for Ren going down the pan - well, with moderating like this, its not surprising that Tsu isn't seeing good players - they will all be banned for playing well.

And as for the decent player goal - yes, every server has that. But unfortunately you have to suffer a lot of noobs to get there. You can not just have experienced players, you have to let noobs learn to play, and that, sadly, means they do dumb things like buy transports, use mammys and lose games, get out to repair, and all that stuff. If they keep doing it, then a quick kick is more than enough so they get the message.

It would be better if it was admitted that a moderating mistake was made, in the frustration of a game being lost, before everyones respect is gone.

Cheers
Jez

OK, well, I don't make up sh*t either. So stop acting like I'm lying about what happened. I don't have to answer to anyone around here so if I wanted to ban you for "haha, this is funny" I could. And if I was following that same mentality with this ban, I would haven't just said [above] that you could be unbanned if my admins agreed. Welcome to the democratic process.

Since I'm a very visual person and probably the most pro MS Paint artists in the world (lol) --- I put together this drawing of what happened.

Movement is illustrated as changing colors. So Red = 1st position for both people. Orange = 2nd position, etc. So as he's in the 'red position', I'm also shown in red so you can see where I'm at. Etc. Etc. The white arrows show the direction in which the vehicles were driving. The colored lines sticking out of his vehicles show when he started shooting -- and where he was shooting at.

As you can see, the reason I got suspicious is because he went right by me and then about 30-60 seconds later when I started to move out he shot at where I was about to go and came over to me and continues to follow me as if he knows exactly where I'm going. ie. if I'm moving south, he sees that on radar so shoots further to the south hoping Ill move into it.

I'm not saying he's a n00b, but this scenario reaks of bullshit and it wasn't me.

rofl...omg wow somone has way too much free time on their hands. Make it a mod vote. You banned em, and not once since ive been here have you made up a story to ban someone so i think most everyone is going to assume you're right.

Vote on it, based on how the guy has handled the whole situation and see what everyone else thinks. But dont watse anymore time on this. In a few days there is going to be another topic like this.

Your drawing is half right - I was closer to you when I was heading to the nod base, and looking, though I cannot remember if I was in full-on search or just sprinkling around.

I saw you coming over the edge of the wall just as you had landed on the ground I think, and didn't start shooting to kill immediately because I didnt want to lose my apc to the stank, so I moved back so I would be out of range and started shooting at you as you were dodging back and forth behind the rock.

To be honest I can't remember all the details.

I do know that you never bothered to ask a question or anything - just instant ban, which is why I was so hacked off and decided to raise it on the forum.

I haven't played on Tsu before (well maybe the occasional random game) - I used to play on bc5serv way back, then started playing on n00bstories and jelly, which is where I play mostly.

I know players from yonks ago, such as jpnod, plutodevi, nic2184, sc0tjim, asswhippa, gr8masta, tellsson, msgtpain, pig35, gr8bigguy, daduke, blah blah blah

Your reply about unbanning seemed to be opening it up for the other people you mentioned, but there as you said you didn't give a sh*t about my ban, I guess it didn't seem likely I was included in that.

Anyway, I would like to be able to play on Tsu as you have some good games, so I would ask that you please unban me.

If you play with me a bit more you will soon find out for yourself that I do not cheat. You will also find out that I totally suck at sniping, I am very accurate arty, I sneak into bases and kill buildings, I almost never use sbh, I am very good at finding any form of stealth, I am almost always the first APC to rush, and I am a good team player as opposed to a point whore (arty is for killing, not whoring).

Oh - and I never buy transports, and if its the old points system, I never buy mammys.

Cheers
Jez

I've been staying out of this b/cz I hate drama, but since this is such an interesting topic, I'll put my 2cent. (I know makes no sense...)

--

First of all... this would have been a lot easier if there was a ss or something to go by. I thought you can't ban someone unless there's 100% proof that they cheated or if they refuse to take a test? Since sh*t do happen. A simple screen shot test during that situation would have been the right thing to do I think...

Whenever I try to get a cheater ban, even with vids and ss - if there's no enough evidence .. its a "to be watched closely" So far.. I see no indication of evidence expect for limpy's words. I'm not saying he's not telling the truth... its just if some like me for example go and ban this guy... there would be no way his ban would stay. Treat everyone alike... even if its the almighty limpy. He might be wrong you know? (or not) I see this democratic process all the time, but if limpy decides something.. it seem to be everyone else's decision as well, with an exception to a few cases.

okay.. that's my input.

Due to the lack of hard evidence supporting this ban, the controversy surrounding it, but mainly the fact that the accused had the presence of mind to register on the forums and calmly argue his case in conjunction with those things; I have decided to lift this ban in favour of a period of probation.

I didn't come to this decision lightly, so don't let me down Jez.
