Tsunami Gaming

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to decrease the size of my FRAPS videos from 1GB to some thing a little more reasonable?

I know that you can use video compression programs, but many of them either:

• Strip out audio
• Destroy the video quality so bad its not even worth it
• Are trials, so you can't use it for long (or it has limited features)

I need something that is good for all of my Fraps videos. I have so many FRAPs items that I have a F drive (Fraps drive) lol.

I thought it'd be a good idea to get a topic going on this since so many people have asked me the same question.

So, what compression methods/programs do you use? Make sure you know what you're talking about before you post - otherwise you'll probably just confuse people even more.

hmmm... the file is kinda odd, but the program is called WinAVI video Compressor. Very easy, and it works. Many options, and doesnt f*ck up video quality

Windows Media player 2 - Free from Microsoft, and was suprisingly good for me. I use it for these random needs.

How the hell do you compress a raw AVI using Windows Movie Maker 2?

WinAVI is what i use, but torrented it :/ GREAT program thought =D

You re-save it as a wmv file? Idk outside of that.

(1) WMV is terrible for quality - I was kinda hoping for divx or something like that

I used to use AVItoMPEG (name of program) to compress in divx without any issues (Free too) but its not working for me for some reason (crashes).

(2) Those aren't very good instructions, lol. More like a comment.
