New forum category: Help Me

I have added a new forum category called "Help Me".

This category will be dedicated to help topics only. There will be no general discussions, no game discussions, etc. allowed. Just topics related to getting help on things like their schoolwork ... or getting advice on a personal issue.

A special thanks to Metal Vixen for many of the ideas (and the name 'The TSU Couch'). She was very determined and excited to see this addition to the forums go up.

One of the forums is called "The TSU Couch" (as mentioned above). This is a very special forum in which only guests can post (ie. you have to post anonymously). So if you're logged in, you will have to log out to make a post there. And there are no moderators (not even admins have the right to post!) so you can be assured that whatever you say is 100% anonymous unless you choose to post your name. Again, make sure you log off so that you can post. If you're logged in it will NOT let you create a new topic!

I hope you all find good use for these new forums; especially with the 2008 school year starting up.

actually, the homework thing we used to have like a year ago and that was my idea -- but I had been talking over a 'Help Me' section with her and a few others for awhile.

The 'The TSU Couch' thing was partly my idea, and partly hers, but the name is entirely her idea - because she came up with the idea for that on another website awhile back.

although...... wouldnt we be able to check who is posting what via IPs?

We would need to restrict that to make it purely annonamous...

Nope, you cannot check IPs because you have no moderator powers (even as admin). I already took it away -- even my own.

/me double checks lee's permissions

If Nightma is like a co-founder of this community, why doesnt he have all the powers?

He has admin. The only other person aside from me that has it now. But admins aren't allowed to have any moderator powers (or posting powers) in this new "The TSU Couch" forum because then they could just check IPs. And if one of us was abusing our power to re-add that right (cough, Nightma12) I'd remove his admin.

I designed and created this community by myself. There were the original members who were invaluable by helping me make some important decisions - some of which are on the council - but for the most part this was all a twisted dream from my f*cked up brain ;-)

That being said, I came into a partnership with you months later (Matix) which didn't work out and I realized that if things were ever going to work out between me and other partners I'd have to be more picky about my selection, but more trusting in the long run. That's right about the time I partnered with Nightma12 (if you remember, I tried to get all three of us working together, previously).

Anyway, I treat Nightma12 as an equal for the most part, but if it came down to it it's definitely at least 51% me and 49% him. I'll always have that upper hand because I created it and own all the domains. I just don't talk about that because its not important and I trust Nightma12 enough to not f*ck sh*t up.

So, yeah, back to your initial statement: he does have access to everything. But this special forum is SPECIAL which is why no admin (including me) will have mod on it.
