Re: Laptops?
i'm a huge fan of my fujitsu tablet... for the best model they offered it was only like 2.2-2.4K and aside from the low gaming battery life (which happens to all laptops) it's a pretty beastly feeling machine... also if you don't go with the tablet you can probably squeeze out more power for the same kind of price

Re: Laptops?
My advice is..
Go with something Local, possibly from Ebay or a used merchandise website from your area. This was you can save taxes, shipping and worrying if it is a scam or not. My parents bought one off this site and it works great, we had the guy meet us at a tim hortons and he showed everything to us.
With that being said, check the warrenty if it is a used computer, or if it is secondhand but "new" check the warrenty anyway. It can add a good hundred bucks to the total price, so if its not there, ask for a better deal.
No brand is really better than others, they are all made up of the same parts, in similar cases with minor differences.

eBay laptops mean one thing, someone spilled coffee over the keyboard and the buttons get stuck!SpAzEr wrote:My advice is..

Re: Laptops?
Thanks!
If I were to purchase something secondhand, though,...I'd probably take the hard drive and rummage through it...I'm sure the person left SOMETHING juicy on there!
Anyway, I'm looking at making a purchase in January, maybe December...So I have quite some time to save up.
Thanks for the suggestions! After researching, a new Dell GAMING system is anywhere from $2K to $3K...so forget that. A normal notebook starts at $499. Not bad 8)

Re: Laptops?
Dell Inspiron. Mine came with 1 gig of ram but shitty gfx, but I can play renegade with 70-100 fps which is better than my computers hehe
Re: Laptops?
Like I said, Dell, or ibuypower.com
Try one of those 2, ibuypower gives you more bang for your buck and its custom built by gamers, you can choose settings to your liking and it gives more options then dell.
