That happened to my old computer, your PSU died! LOL!!!!!!!!!

Or your RAM is f*cked. Either one.

If you have a 2nd computer, try your ram on it, if it works, then it means your psu is f*cked.

Great Help guys... :?

If it goes BEEP, that means that there is power to the computer, so rule that out.
Power supplies either work, or they dont, there is no inbetween. Unless one of the connectors is not hooked up properly, but it wouldnt just "fall off".

When you say "no picture" does it show any text at all? If not, it probably has something to do with the motherboard and processor, the Hard drive and memory kick in later. the BIOS is based on the motherboard. Its not the display or the graphics card either.. because they wouldnt make the computer restart right away.

Ensure there is no disk in the drive.

Any other details?

I never quite understood what happened with my old computer, I can tell you though my PSU either died because it went under, and my motherboard suffered alongside. I had 4 fans running, and a PCI 6100 gfx card (needed 250) I only had 200, ran good for a week, then right before it died it gave me a popup saying "Power Supply failure" and i clicked ok, when it shutdown, I tried it back up, gave me beeping sounds, so from this, I can conclude:

- Your powersupply got overloaded & your motherboard is damaged.
- Your ram is damagaed.

One of those posibilites.

Of course Spazer, if there is a beeping sound, that always means electricty is going through :P

That's not exactly true, either. A power supply takes the voltage/amperage from the wall and converts it to the type of current needed to power the PC. What's needed? a 1.1-4.3V (5V) digital circuit and a 12V analog circuit. PSU's can blow one output and not the other, thus making it possible for it to "kinda work".

But under this circumstance, I'm going to have to say that it's probably a video card (possibly GART) issue or a RAM issue. Those are my first two thoughts off the top of my head.

Have you changed anything in your system recently? Anything at all?

If it's a constant (repeating) beeping: it could be a memory slot failure. I had that happen on a brand new motherboard I had bought... pissed me off (went ahead & exchanged it also, they verified @ the store).

Try moving your memory to an alternate slot, if that doesn't work, try a different (known-working) stick of memory, if even that won't work, it's either the memory slots (unlikely) or something else. Only real way to know for sure is to test.
I would try everything possible before assuming one way or another. Just describing what happened to me & how I diagnosed it, not going to guarantee that's your problem.

Well, I can tell you for one thing, if it beeps, everything fucks up.

I tried my old hard drive from the computer with the psu problems, won't work. :(

I tried the gfx card that was in it at the time of the psu problems, wont' work.

etc

Your better off getting a new one.
