on my server (not sure if it can be helped) i can join perfectly but no one can join they keep getting negotiating port with server and then that times out by any chance can that be fixed?

Are you hosting from home? If so and you use a router then you have to forward the FDS client connection port (the port setting in server.ini) to the machine hosting the server in the router configuration.

Its your firewall/router. There is no one size fits all, so you would have to talk to someone that knows about your router/firewall.
