Soo.... iTunes sux but w/e only works with my ipod

I have tried several things to bring my songs from media player over to itunes... but none work. I try to "add a folder" and "import" songs... but they don't work. I have like 2000 songs on media player, and created a playlist, but i can't move them to itunes... no idea how.
I've also tried to send media songs to a folder on desktop and from desktop to itunes it still doesnt work! im a noob at this stuff
any help?

Import should work.. It doesn't work at all, or does it just bring the song to itunes until you close it?

i know you have solved it but there are alternatives like try here:
http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/07/08/10 ... your-ipod/ thats a pretty good list bust they don't include Ephpod which is for windows & linux and is awesome. It does stuff that you wish itunes did like copy music from your ipod to PC and find duplicate songs ,etc it does alot. check it out.
