Alright, i'd be glad to help you in this matter but here's the problem. Please post the exact number of the Stop Error.

Examples:

Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Stop 0x0000001E or KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

etc...etc

There is many different Stop Codes for microsoft, so as i styated above please post the error code your getting (even if you have to write it down) and I will be glad to help you in this matter.

Edit: Before you read this do you eve have Windows XP? :P

If your computer keeps restarting there is various reasons that could be causing it.

1. If your CPU is running at over 60 degrees (C)

2. bad memory (Get a new RAM stick or 2)

3. There's a setting buried in Windows XP that tells your computer to restart when a system error occurs. If you turn off that option, you may solve your automatic reboot problem.

*********Click Start, then open Control Panel

Click Performance and Maintenance

Click System

Click on the Advanced Tab

Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section

Uncheck Automatically Restart in the System failure section

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Failing or under-rated power supplies can also cause your computer to restart at seemingly random intervals. Switching out a power supply is really not too hard. Turn off the computer, open the case, disconnect the power cable from the power supply to the motherboard. Unscrew the power supply from the case, and reverse the process to install a new power supply. A 300-watt power supply will be fine in most computers.

Alright when this happens it's because of a simple problem of where the thread is stuck in the driver. This is a STOP error that pertains specifically to an NVIDIA video card. It shows up if you are using the Nv4.sys video driver to support the NVIDIA card.

Please visit this link to get any recent drivers that may be out for your current GFX card. Getting the most recent GFX Drivers, or even if you possibly have them already. Get it AGAIN, re-updating your driver to the most recent will remove the thread that is stuck in the driver so your GFX card can work properly again.

P.S: If this doesn't work, before you post anymore error message please post your Computer Spec's and/or if you have put anything on it recently that made the error messages start up. It would make my analysis of the problem much easier.
