Fraps help

My Fraps has been playing up recently:

A couple of months ago my Fraps stopped working, screenshots and videos just appear as fuzzy lines when I try to view them, but you can still hear audio on the videos.
Ace then sent he his cracked version of Fraps to see if that would work, but that didn't work at all, the program wouldn't open.
So then I completely re-installed Fraps with the free version, but when I tried to use it today the problem re-ocurred.

I've never had problems with Fraps before, but always when I've loaded it up it says I need to 'update my video drivers' I used to ignore it and Fraps worked fine, do you still think this could be the source of the problem?

What video card do you use? Most people say "get the latest drivers" but I don't agree with that. I think the latest WHQL drivers are a good idea, but not "the latest". But, yeah, you should probably update your drivers.

Then, once you've removed Fraps, make sure all the files are deleted and reboot your PC.

Well you all know I'm not very pro with computer stuff but I ran dxdiag and I believe this is my video card information :? :

Name: NVIDEA GeForce FX 5200

Drivers: Main Driver: nv4_disp.dll
Version: 6.14.0001.4345 (english)
Date: 20/03/2003
DDI version: 9 (or higher)

I'll go about trying to update my drivers shortly (since even to my untrained eye they look old xD)

Let me know if you need more info.

I'm assuming you have Windows XP. If so, then use this driver installation:

(install this EXE and then reboot your PC)

Yeah, this is a realllllyyyy common problem when switching from trial to full or vice versa. There are many ways to fix, but med just got lucky on the first try ;)
