Yeah, that was one of three bugs I found.

All bugs should be fixed now.

Smiles all look 100% O.K. to me and should not have been affected even in the slightest way.

He is right though, some of them are in a slightly different style.

Compare:  :o

Before the update they were the same style, but now  seems to be taller, and has the horrible white halo effect...

Nothing was changed with the style. Nothing at all. Those graphics were always like that. I have a bunch of smile theme packs installed, but a couple of them weren't specificly made for dark backgrounds ... which is why they have the white stuff around them.

I'm dead serious, nothing changed in regards to the smiles. I did refresh the template, so there is a chance that you browser had stale images, but nothing has changed in regards to smiles for at least 6 months.

(sidenote: Danpaul, go to the webmaster forum which is currently set to the prosilver theme and you can test out these smiles. They work just fine there. That's because they were made for that theme and I couldn't find a "dark background" version of some of these funny ones.)

No, seriously, I remember those two smilies being the exact same style before. And how is it that ecstasy posted the exact same ones I thought had changed? We can't both be imagining things :S

The only way it would have changed is if the template you made has undeclared styles which are being picked up by the new stylesheet edits I made to the other (not this) theme. The only stylistic changes that were made were in regards to prosilver. Nonetheless, I stand by what I say. And regardless, there are still two major issues that need to be resolved with the forums - so hopefully that will resolve this issue (which is invisible to my eyes) as well.

Actually I think it's more likely the forum update completely replaced the .gif files for the smilies with different ones...

Fixed BBCode javascript that fl00d3d commented out, so you can now use the bbcode buttons again on top of the posting form, instead of having to manually type the tags in.

TBH: I didn't even realise it was broken till fl00d3d mentioned it, since I always type them in manually anyway.

I cleared out all of my internet memory with ccleaner, and now they work fine. Not sure if you fixed them or if it's like how fl00d said it awhile ago. They just had a strange white background, but now they're fine.
