Xfire Rene Low FPS

recently ive been playing renegade and getting an fps of around 9-20 whereas i used to get 60-80
i tried running renegade without xfire on and i got 60-80 fps whereas with xfire on the fps goes right back down to 9-20, anyone know what is causing this?

Check you don't have instant replay turned on in the video options, as this can use a lot of CPU and RAM to create a video buffer of 5 seconds or more, depending on your settings.
EDIT: Apparently they renamed the option to 'Enable flashback capture' now. As above, make sure it's turned off.

Are you using Scripts.dll version 3 or 2?
