WORD CENSOR ENABLED (Read this post on how to disable)

To protect our site from school and work blacklists, I've enabled word censoring. However, it is possible for each individual user to specify whether or not they want to be censored by changing a setting in your preferences.

If you do not want foul words to be censored, follow the instructions below.

User Control Panel >> Board preferences >> Edit display options >> Enable word censoring

1. On the left side (menu), there is a link that says "User Control Panel". Click it.
2. On the left (UCP menu), there will now be a variety of options. Click "Board Preferences".
3. When the page refreshes, it won't look like much has changed, but on the left under "Board Preferences" you'll notice three links have appeared underneath it. Click on "Edit display options".
4. Change 'Enable word censoring' from YES to NO. You may update this at any time. By default, all accounts will have this enabled. Please note that if you disable this filter at school or work you may end up getting this site banned/blacklisted.

I was looking at some random stuff... And I was like... Ruiner doesn't talk like this... now I know!

Yeah, I've actually had it enabled for about a week now. I was just working out a few bugs here and there.

For example, the graphic was displayed when you put :fvck: (used a V for obvious reasons, lol), but is censored to :f*ck: and therefore unable to render the image. And there really wasn't a way to fix that other than changing the associated BBcode, which would in-turn destroy the image in all previous posts that used it. Meh.

But for the most part, the system is working quite well. And now you know how to disable it if you so desire.
