OK I was moderating my CPU with quad cores, and I notice that C&C3 and C&C 3 Kains wrath all use only one core, (core 4) and the others are not doing anything with the game at all, is this the computer or the game, I would like to fix this if at all possible.

-Thanks!

well im not an expert at this but if you right click on the proccess in the task manager one of the options allows you to limit the cores that process can use maybe go in there and make sure you are allowing the game to use all 4 cores rather then just one

Unless you're maxing out that core it shouldn't matter. Because the other 3 cores will still be used by your system (leaving that one core free to only process C&C3).

That being said, I have no idea how C&C3 was coded. It may only have dual core support. That's a threading issue that I don't know much about. You'd have to Google it. I'm on a quad core and I haven't done any special setup - and I play it just fine. Very smooth on max graphics. It's more about your GPU than your CPU.

Actually I heard of same problem with fallout3 but with Command and Conquer 3, I've used quad core with windows vista and only have few problems, one of those problem deals with PhysX GPU acceleration and another glitches up the icons that shows on far left

this concludes EA games is full of unexpected surprises of pain

LOL, well not to say i have any problems with the game it runs fine, Was just wondering if it would be changed.

I talked to EA and they told me to change the affinity to all four cores. The only thing i could do was think what kind of people they have working over there. I sent my last reply "I'm not stupid I tried that already" ;)

ya its quite strange though because usually cpu is controlled by Bios and/or Operating systems and if you have it set correctly it should use the processors equally :?

anyways good try trying to get help with tech support of ea games lol
