Reconfiguring Website

All:

I'm in the process of restoring the old website domain and template. It's 90% functional at this point and I want to get some sleep! :)

So enjoy.

If you find any major bugs (like a function of the site doesn't work at all), please post the exact URL and then quote the error you got.

If you find little bugs, you can list them here too. But I'm not as concerned about those yet.

If the bug is listed at the end of this post, then you don't have to repeat it - since I already know about it.

Thank you for your patience!

-Sean

KNOWN ISSUES:
  • Donation amount not shown in user frame
  • Smiles aren't limited properly, forcing large gap between textarea and post button.
  • Sponsored Ads block not working on forum list page (works on Home page though)
  • Donations block not working on forum list page (works on Home page though)
  • ACP_Content bug (affects admins only) *note for myself*
  • MCP_Content bug (affects moderators only)
  • UCP_Content bug
  • Voting function not working (invalid form)
  • Teamspeak website module not working. [IN PROGRESS] This was actually disabled while the TS3 server was down. Now that we have one back up, I just need to find time to get in there and re-enable the functions and update the code.
  • TsuFiles (Files) doesn't work. [IN PROGRESS] Database/config fixed. Just gotta move actual files.
  • Attachments/uploads missing [FIXED]
  • A bunch of smiles are missing [FIXED]
  • The category collapse/sticky feature isn't working. [FIXED]
  • TsuGaming.net/forums not routing properly [FIXED] This was actually an individual DNS issue
  • Clean up ranks/titles [DONE]
  • Mouseover topic preview on forum listing doesn't show topic [FIXED]

Unable to drop down catagories here:

http://tsugaming.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=214

Admin edit: This is related to the codebase for the expandable categories bug - so I'm not going to list it as a separate bug. But 'noted'.

I also need to clean up the ranks/titles and fix the auto-preview topic functionality (bubble next to each forum which shows last topic when you mouseover). Both have been added to the list.

As noted in the shoutbox, I'm about to do some work on the core system in an attempt to resolve numerous issues.

Basically what happened is that when I moved the site over to tsugaming.net I not only edited a lot of files to point to the new URL but I did a phpBB forum update ... and then modified it so that the CMS worked. And now that I'm bringing it all back to tsugaming.com the way it used to be, I have to undo everything manually. PITA

After I get the categories working again (so that all categories are expanded and all forums are visible), I'm going to restructure the forums to be more simple -- because the truth is the site is pretty dead right now. So I want to keep things simple.

Hang in there with me! I'm trying to fix this for you guys.

The attachments are all uploaded. If you notice anything missing let me know.

As for the other bugs (most importantly, the categories auto collapsing)....I plan on fixing those as soon as I have time. We just got hit with a blizzard so I have to shovel my driveway and then get a few things done in preparation for school tomorrow (assuming I have it). Unfortunately life comes first. :(

Yeah, its showing all smiles rather than just 30. It annoys the hell out of me too (having that huge gap), so I guess I'll add it to the bug list.

The categories pin_state bug has been fixed! I have reset everyone's preferences just to keep things clean. So everyone should see a full expansion of the forum list. If there are any issues or complaints with this, make a new post and I'll reinvestigate it. But from what I can see it is entirely resolved.

That's probably just a permission issue. I moved around a bunch of forums and at one point you were a staff member. Of Renegade stuff if I recall. So you can view the category, but there aren't any forums in it that you have permission to access -- therefore it only shows the category (as empty).

After I get the site working to my satisfaction (almost there), I will be going through staff positions and forum groups to do a huge cleanup of permissions, ranks, titles, positions, etc. And then start recruiting. :)
