Looking for a new monitor - could use some feedback/opinions

I will soon be shopping for a 19+ (minimum) LCD monitor. More than likely I will get a 21" or larger.
There are two caveats, though:
- First and foremost it must be 'good' (above average) for gaming.
- I would like it to have touch screen capabilities.
I'm not going to set a price limit, but I do want to keep it reasonable (as anyone would). So don't take the easy route and just start listing the top monitors which cost an arm and a leg.
Anyone have suggestions? Brand names that are solid? I'm completely out of the hardware scene right now.

Just read the following article earlier today;
http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011 ... itor-1.ars
LED monitor, 3D ready, 23.6", HDMI and DVI in, $500.
Looks good to me.... but no touch screen... not that I really see why anyone would want that in a desktop PC... and no idea how much $500 is compared to other monitors that are available...
As for brands... I have never had any problems with my twin Samsungs.... LG are supposed to be pretty solid too.

I looked around for a bit and kept finding the same result.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824176142
Its a HP 22" Touchscreen with damn near every review being a 5 egg review.
$279.99 in the cart is the price. I believe shipping is free over $250.

I got a....I think it's NOC (might be AOC, I honestly can't read it) 22" HD LCD monitor for $130 at tigerdirect/compusa whatever you wanna call it. As long as you get 1080p 1920x1080 you should be good to go. I have no complaints with my monitor. It displays a beautiful crystal image in high definition
Touch screens gonna up the price and lower the selection, I've never really looked around in that department O:

Hmmm.
Well the reason I wanted touch screen is because a lot of interfaces are moving in that direction and I don't want to have to buy ANOTHER monitor within a year or even two if I don't have to. Example: Windows 8.
Thank you for the feedback so far, though. Those seem like some nice monitors and definitely within my price range. I'll take a look at them. Keep the suggestions flowing!

well i know you wouldnt want to buy another moniter later but couldnt you buy a really nice and big non touch screen moniter and when they come out with the touch screen stuff buy a smaller (maybe 8 inch or something) touch moniter and duplicate your desktop on both of them so one is for the touchscreen then one is for display. this would also keep you from having to to worry about getting a super good refresh rate on the touchscreen etc...

Windows 8 start page thing works with a mouse / keyboard as well and if you pin your most used apps to the taskbar along with the run command you never need look at that goddamned abomination ever again....
Or just stick with Windows 7... I haven't decided which option I will choose yet, will wait to see how it matures for the betas and RCs
