IRC has been de-linked

I had a lot of arguments and complaints with the network we were on, including (but not limited to) all of the following:
  • Hex from N00bless was being an *ss to a lot of people. They'd all tell eachother how much he pissed them off, but didn't have the balls to tell him that themselves. I took the initiative to do that the other day, and that was the end of that. He is not a very friendly person. Quite ignorant, actually.
  • For the last few weeks (about 2-3 weeks) services have gone down a couple of timess.
  • For the last few weeks (about 2-3 weeks) the hub has gone down about 1-2 times per day.
  • Aug Elite was allowed to link with the network because they leeched off of ltroush leftovers.
  • The group as a whole was pretty friendly and experienced, but they were not organized or motivated to make changes, at all. They were extremely comfortable with their current situation and didn't look to the future. Quite the opposite of TsuGaming.
Anyway, our collective userbase in IRC will be down about 80% (from about 250 users to 50) for a short while until we get everything sorted.

We have some AWESOME plans (and even more flexibility) for our IRC presence on the internet now that we're not held back by the limitations of other gaming communities. It may take a solid month or so to recover, but I think in the long run this will work out to be much much much greater for the Tsunami Gaming Network.

Since TsuGaming owns the old name/site that the network was using (PIRCnet / http://www.PublicIRC.com) we will continue using that as our own until we get everything new sorted out.

irc.tsugaming.com now forwards to the irc.aohost.co.uk server which is still linked with the old network. I will keep it this way for the next couple days until we get our new servers/services set up.

For anyone that has a bad taste in their mouth against the old network, I ask that you keep it to yourself until we switch over to our own services so that there aren't any incidents.

So, yeah, basically the point is: use irc.aohost.co.uk for now.

Then once we get this situation sorted (and aohost irc delinks) then we'll update you with new information.

I've just been told, by our old IRC admin (Infinint), from Egg098 of IAnet, that they're not going to give Nightma12 a copy of **OUR** users and **OUR** channels (services database). So they're pretty much holding it hostage.

Why, you ask?
<Egg098> hey you here?
<Egg098> i've spoken to everyone about the services db
<Egg098> the answer's no i'm afraid
<Egg098> i asked everyone to give a reason
<Egg098> and the top reason for everyone is that they do not want fl00d3d having it, not because he would have access to it because he wouldn't
<Egg098> but just because of the sh*t he came out with after he was delinked
<Egg098> and how he acted in general about it
<Egg098> you might want to let him know that the only reason you guys can't have it is because of him - 100%
<Egg098> GZ would have said yes if fl00d3d had not acted the way he had, but they don't think anything he is associated with deserves anything, so they said no
<Egg098> hex said the same
<Egg098> and i feel the same way, although i would
So basically, since I got in an argument with Egg098's best friend Hex ... and because I locked them out of http://www.publicirc.com which was MY idea and is MY domain and was setup, organized, and maintained by ME ... apparently I was out of line and don't deserve a copy of MY services database.

IAnet, you just f*cked yourself...

Should there not be a legal agreement that your services database (if thats what its called) is legally your property and must be handed over?

If not, well, lesson learned for next time.

We've agreed to go our own ways in the most peaceful way possible. So I'll lock this topic and try to forget about it. This was for the best...
