I just did some calculations and it should be more than enough to run the server :)

Ill be home sunday night for a bit and im going to run an internet speed test on it to see just how many players the internet would be able to handle (im estimating about 19 tops but we'll see)

Unfortunately... the machine needs a complete reformat and rebuilding. And Im off to uni again monday night so wnot get the time to set this up. I will see what i can do about this when I get back from university early june time. :D :D! Just in time for the summer!!

Nightma12: I can probably get this running on my PC. I can't promise the connection will stay up 24x7 since my ISP loves to do maintenance for hours at a time around 2am U.S. Central. -_- But it's got pretty decent b/w (I think 16/2) and I have a quad core with 4gb RAM (3gb since I'm running 32-bit OS). Should be able to handle small Ren servers just fine. I know we've restricted access to the NR binary, which is the only reason why I'm offering to do this from my home PC until you're ready to use yours.

I have 30/30 and a Dell Tower Server with 16 GB ram and quad core with hyper-threading.

But I'm at my max with BW usage.

The server is going to be ran on either mine or seans PC's. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the files! :)

Thank you for the offer though everyone! Seans connection is actually more than enough to run a full 32 player server on! Its just a case of whether or not he wants to run a server that big on it as it will mean no pr0n downloading for him ;) haha!

I will let you all know the speed of my internet connection at home tommorrow night! :) I know its a VERY fast downstream but I really don't know about the upstream. Will let you know soon :)

Like I said earlier: I dunno about 32 players lol. Maybe 16. I'm sure it will fill up (at 16) from time to time and I'm worried about it gobbling up my RAM. I do play games on this PC you know. ;)

How about we match? Ill see what my upstream can handle and then you host the same? That way there isn't a sudden drop in players from June? My limit is the upstream b/w simply because the machine will be dedicated to the server.

If you are planning to play games on it.. yourll need to make quite a bit of changes to your windows configuration so that the game server dousnt drop to 5 SFPS when you boot up the game. But ill talk to you about that when we sort it out :)
