When I open XWIS, everything is normal except there are no server listings. I can still page and receive pages but I cannot join a game from an invite. Also it seems to be affecting my ability to log onto IRC but this could be something different.

Sounds like you might have a port blocked in your firewall or something. XWIS is basically irc so its no suprise you're having issues with both.

If you're 100% sure that you can page other XWIS users (ie. they reply back) then my guess is its a port issue.

If you can't communicate with other users, then you're probably not logged into XWIS properly (which was my initial thought until you said you could page other users ... unless you can still page from an unauthenticated name?).

Make sure you have no objects.ddb mods in your Data folder, and check your always.dat and always2.dat files are not corrupted, if any of these files change it causes some value that gets sent to the XWIS server to change and the servers are not shown.

This is why mods like APB can use XWIS, because the value sent by APB is different, but the clients and servers have the same value, so XWIS knows that the APB clients should see the APB servers which have the same value.

IRC worked again shortly after I posted, but I xwis still won't work. I'm 100% sure that I can page other xwis users and they can even send me invites, it just won't show me or join any servers. Originally it didn't say anything at the bottom, but when I made a new nickname for the second time, it came up with 'server listings currently unavailable.'

Have you tried rebooting your computer since this problem started? Those are memory issues, and sometimes a reboot can fix that (especially if you haven't knowingly changed anything).

A reboot was one of the first things that I tried... I could always resort to a system restore I supose.

Or getting a new copy of game.exe (or game2.exe if you have renguard) from someone that has the same version.
