Hard drive

Need help getting it working =D

Bought a SATA hdd.....using only this hdd. Went to partition it but its hating me, so either I forgot wtf im doing or something is wrong.

So I need help getting it partitioned and everything ='(

did you use the whole HD for your windows (im assuming) install?

OK I got vista to boot and am going along....I get to where it wants to install n am stuck, its recognizing my 320gb hdd as a 1.8tb hd >_> and cant get further atm.....but im looking into it =p

The problem is usually you have some other sata hardware hooked up and it will not format the one you want till the others are disconnected. Format that drive then reboot with all sata hardware installed and everything will smell like roses.

Got my computer up at 1:40am =D was playing UT3 till 3am =D everything running nice and smooth cept net.......that seems slow when downloading. But I hooked up my sata hd after the other one was showing wrong size...got BSOD...restart comp and it booted up and installed vista w/o any probs the second time. Gonna hook up other hdd later and see if it still showing it being huge =D

Strange that it would show it as being 1.8 TB's... maybe they slipped you a next gen Prototype version accidentally?

lol =D has 4gb but thats all it will detect ='( and my 7600gs is the lowest scoring thing on my comp =o
