I was wondering... What would you guys think of a bio for ourselves? I was just clicking on different buttons on the top, and there's one called "Team." Basically just the forum moderators, and admins and council members. I just thought it would be cool if when I clicked that, there could be either a button for "About: Fl00d3d" or something like that. This button would then lead you to a pic this person posted, as well as their own bio. Like... "I love video games, and I am the muuuuuuurrcccciiiiileeeessssssss king, feel my wrath."
Ok maybe not that but you get the idea...
lol i was just wondering what ur guy's input would be.

I like the idea also. But does everyone who simply registers on the forum get to do one? Idk much about the computers.systems I admit, that that seems like it'd take a lot of memory or space to store all that information.. Maybe do some kind of "X number of posts requirement, maybe even as low as 10.. I noticed when doing a "member search" one time there were pages of registered people with 0 or 1 post counts..

It would be an opt-in system, so if you don't want to make one you don't have to. Each bio would take about the same amount of DB space as a single post, depending on how long it is, so I don't think storage would be an issue.
As for a minimum post limit, I doubt people who are not planning to be active in the community would take the time to write a lengthy bio anyway.
ya, optional would be sweet. I think it would be a good add on to the "Team" page. as you can see it just shows their names and ranks lets see some pics and bios

sure? lol
so i logged back into my sportingnews account.. and i remembered something cool. At the bottom of our profile... we had "testimonials" or something like that. Basically, what happened was, in my profile, there would be a space set up where people could leave a testimonial, for example: I log into tsugaming.com and go to my profile. OMG! A testimonial from medici, it reads: Toad you are a god man. I accept it now its at the bottom of my testimonial area. Or... OMG A testimonial from crazyreb!!! it reads: Toad is the biggest noob u could find.. i reject it! (i'd probably accept it though ) lol
so ya... a blog space? sounds good? hablaba time for a poll! (not made by me)

The obvious issue here is that a lot of this would require a lot of custom PHP work which isn't top priority atm. However, I'll see what we can work out in regards to this suggestion.
The most stable and reasonable resolution to this topic would be to public some sort of blog functionality where people can have an extended profile and manage their blogs through their UCP. We've had this in the past on our old site.
seems cool
if i knew what the php work was i might understand wut ur saying but seeing as how i am oblivious to time? work? it takes for scripting i'll keep making up super weird things to add in
how bout... a "How are you feeling" icon for how we feel on the forums? lololo jk blog it is
(edit: posted after stereo... 3 pics in 25 minutes! w00ts!)
