Migrating TsuGaming.com to a new webserver

Post by fl00d3d »

This is a simple news post (that a lot of people probably won't even get to read until after the change) documenting the switch from our windows webserver to our unix webserver. The change/migration should take approximately 1-2 hours ... with possible DNS issues extending another 6-12 hours.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but I assure you: this is a necessary evil.

Transfer complete.

There are still a LOT of things I need to tweak and set up (like DNS and email, etc.) so if you see errors, let me know in this thread. But overall, the transition was pretty smooth.

We're now on a more secure, more efficient, and more powerful web server. :)

Yay I can talk now. A few icons show as boxes with an x in them on the board index.

You need to be a lot more specific than that. Exact URL of page, and the exact file name/path of the image that isn't being shown.

These bugs are to be expected, but I don't have time to go through each page of the site looking for them. So please report them in a detailed way. That'd be most helpful.

Thanks,

This has been going on for awhile, but some subforums posts don't show up in the "view new posts" option. I've noticed that news, wow, and pc games chat don't show up.

I just click the view new posts button to find new posts. I just found this by looking through the board index, and your last post was on the 15th.

When I do that it shows the latest posts as "Today".

Are your system and board settings correct?

See if its fine now. Your board settings were wrong (you had it on American english, which is bugged for pretty much everyone in the entire world, and its not the board default) and you didn't have the custom/updated date/time PHP format. I've updated both for you, and I'm guessing it's fine now.
