St0nec0ld: RGH Spectate?

TsuSt0ne (St0nec0ld) was with me and a few others in N00bstories and he was banned from someone in IRC. When I asked why, Anthrax said he could offer proof. So I took a a look at his proof (And his side of the story) and this is what was presented to me.

The Story:
Anthrax says St0nec0ld was playing as "KKKkK" and spectating him. Anthrax says that no one was anywhere near him, and that KKKkK's score went up with every headshot. After he got down to 30, he was dropped to 10hp ... and then he stopped.

The logs:
The reported IP address of "KKKkK" matches St0nec0ld's according to Anthrax. This could not be confirmed by Crimson. When I did a !search_name on the "KKKkK" nick, it returned Stonec0ld's IP address as well as Mofir3's IP address. The IP Database does not show any activity on the KKKKK name on the date the screenshots were taken.

The perspectives:
Anthrax --> Says that KKKKK spectated him all game, and that this was the first opportunity he had to try and catch him. He claims his screenshots proove 100% that he was being spectated, and says that since the N00bstories IP search of the name "KKKKKK" only returns one IP address which is Stonecolds, that it was Stonecold - and that he was cheating using RGH.
Stonecold --> Says that this nickname is owned by Mofir3 and that they both used to use it for clanwars. He claims that wasn't him and that he's never cheated.

OK, now that I've posted all of the FACTS ... I'll share my person opinion on this:

Stonecold has been suspect by a lot of people, and is banned from clanwars.cc for a screenshot which shows a binding message .... thus suggesting that he turned off RGH for a screenshot. Clanwars.cc felt this was enough for them, so they banned him for it but it wasn't conclusive enough for us and we've let him play here. That being said, I can't honestly say I haven't been suspect of him. He very clearly knows how to play Renegade (strategies, statistics, using a vehicle .... all things you can't accomplish from cheating) so that gives him more validity.

My concern in this instance is that the evidence is pretty strong, and very likely, that it was indeed spectate. Though it is DEFINITELY 100% possible that someone was behind Anthrax the entire time in that screenshot, odds of getting 3 headshots in a row without cheating are pretty low. So it's a 50/50 situation. Anthrax would argue that its nonrefutable, but unfortunately for him - he cannot prove there was no one behind him. A simple 5 second Fraps could have done that ..... and he knows how to use Fraps (uses it regularly) ..... yet chose to take 3 screenshots of him running in a straight line. So it's a toss-up for me.

There is also the concern about the IP addresses. Which ultimately proves who "KKKKK" actually was. Anthrax did a search on the name and came up with Stonecold's IP address which is how he concluded that KKKKK was Stonecold. However, that doesn't place Stonecold at the scene of the crime, either. That just proves that Stonecold has used the nickname before - which he doesn't deny. I can even confirm that Stonecold has used the "KKKKK" nickname. So in all reality, the IP match isn't even 100%. Which is a critical part of proving guilt im my opinion.

I tried to be as non-biased as possible throughout this entire process. As of last night when I spoke with Anthrax and my admins about this I was about 90% sure that it was Stonecold and that he was caught cheating. But with more and more evidence, and after asking Crimson to confirm some information (and she couldn't) -- my conclusions became inconclusive.

I'd be interested to see what arguments (pro and con) all of you can come up with. Including Stonecold's arguments ... as well as Anthrax's arguments. Spill it all here.

Tbh i dont think anyone was behind him. The way you enter those tunnels you always check the ramp going up and I doubt a player like anth wouldnt. So i really dont think that anyone could have been behind him. As for infront of him doing an uber hug....when anth got to the end stone prolly woulda come out instead of running back.
Honestly im not really sure that stone could uber hug like that with a pistol. I only know of one or two people that can do it and even then they dont always get hs's. Further more stones the kind of person to come straight at you instead of hug.

Now looking at this from a non biased point of view.
How many times has stone been accused of cheats? Prolly more then anyone else in ren. I really really have a hard time believing that he would go into a server and spectate someone especially anth considering who he is and what he knows. Why would he use an obvious cheat against someone who knows how to test for cheats....thats f*cking stupid and honestly dont think stone would do it.

This could be just another attempt at someone trying to frame stone. The ip's are the same but since they cant be confirmed then you have no real way of proving who it was.

I dont like stone very much, I think he and everyone knows that. There has beed so much bs surrounding him, ss's. tests, .cc ban...I think that with the information available...id say yes on a ban.

I had a talk with anthrax on irc about this too. The main point I was making why this is not proof was because the ss's are each 2 seconds apart. A hug takes less then half a second and could easily be made to look suspicious like this if he was motivated. St0ne has had multiple attempts at getting him banned and I wouldn't be surprised if this was another. Anthrax said to me that he once fraps'd an entire game of him owning but why couldn't he get him getting spectated. His response was "Your retarded." It definately looks very interesting but alone I could not say that it is proof.

Erm I think Stone is clean, no evidence to convict him so he's innocent.

Anthrax isn't used to playing with decent players apparently so he had to find a reason to convict whoever kills him. Honestly all I saw from cursed log was a bunch of insults to Cursed and trying to Cursed he was biased when he was just trying to get the trurth out of it. This is the kind of thing that keeps getting innocent people banned!

I think people are just being jealous! I am not being biased here, as far as I know I don't even know the Stone so can't say I like him, deslike him, hate or detest him. I just don't know him.

If he actually got some proof then fine but not like that, that proofs nothing. However those skins in his screen shots... add an aimbot and you're good to go! I am kinda against skins like that, most skins to be honest, I've never used any myself!

Anyway about the hugging, Stone plays like I do nowadays, no hugging from what it was said... by the way that's just low and cowardish and kinda removes the fun in game! In the old days most snipers that weren't good in close range would hug and very rare missing, I myself used to get lots of head shots in a row like that but I didn't hug that much because I think it's low :p only in clan games

I think you should give him a break honestly... He's better than you? That's good! Play with people that are good and you become better, ban everyone who's decent like it seems to be the way things happens these days, and you are left with newbies mostly who will take alot longer to be any good because they're playing players as bad as them.

It's funny how an already known RGHer gets re-caught and the only thing you guys can think of to defend him is that I must suck and am banning him because he plays above my level, I'm easily one of the best snipers in renegade and would have noticed someone hugging me, as I did not even know this was st0ne at teh time of the ban so there was no reason for me to "set him up" etc...I just banned an RGH abusing prick and it happened to be him upon further review, you guys should grow up. I've never banned anyone for being better than me, hell, I've been a mod since September and I've only banned like 5 people total from n00bstories...nice god complex fl00d3d.

I am not on his side, I am just giving my opinion upon the given facts. I didn't think you stink at the game, you just didn't seem coherent enough to proof he was cheating, if you're trying to actually prove something, don't start by insulting people and show some evidence... he can be cheating! There's always the doubt, but unless you didn't show anything that could prove 100% he was cheating... By the way, if you believe he is cheating just caught him next time? You fraps games nowadays so you will eventually catch him and prove me and others wrong! I'll believe you when you do it, just don't ask me to agree he's cheating or anyone else in fact over that.

By the way, he got caught by who? I stopped believeing most bans... I mean look at my brother, he's banned from most servers in renegade and he doesn't cheat. This is the trurth, most bans in Renegade aren't fair in most servers... noobstories isn't a fair community by the way.

The best hugger ive played against was yasha when he was half decent at hugging. I duno if it was lag or he was abusin cheats or what but even i could see him hug half the time.

If the ip matches were 100% and it was tied to stone then ban him. All the bullshit about hugging is just that. There is no f*cking way that stone could get those hs's while huggin, last time i checked didnt stone say his pistol was sucking?

Synester...it matches his IP with the nickname, only st0nec0ld has used the nickname KKKKK in n00bstories, so obviously I banned him dead away, fl00d3d stoops so low as to say that I framed his friend...I really don't care for drama or hold grudges in renegade, I just ban cheaters, and st0nec0ld was cheating...sorry you can't accept it fl00d3d and will make up any random bullshit to defend your friend, but it's the truth...get over it and don't get so attached to people you don't even know...there is only a 1 second interval between the second and third screenshots, not enough time to hug and not get caught in my screenshot, and I had full health as I was leaving my base, I didn't start taking screenshots until i got to the tunnel though, incase someone was sitting in the lookout, but from the time i left the obby i was almost dead by the time i got down the tunnel, and there was no one up there...think whatever you want fl00d3d, it's your server, but you're only giving your reputation more and more negativity. I'm sure you must enjoy being known as a server that harbors convicted cheaters, or obviously you would have banned him long ago and maybe this place wouldn't be so notorious.
