Signature uploading?
When you want to use an image for your signature, you need to upload it to an image hosting website and place the image URL inside '[img][/img]'.
It would certainly be easier for me (and others no doubt) if you could upload signatures directly to the forums, for example via the same way in which you would upload an image as an attachment and 'place inline'.
Would this be a possibility in any way?

Lol I just did Techman's for him, but the method that I thought of, if it's possible would be a hell of a lot easier.

Hosting it ect is annoying. Uploading it like Medici says we do like we do in our posts now ect, would be easier for people like me;p

Re: Signature uploading?
Actually my plans for future work on the files system would allow you to upload your signatures there and update them as necessary, but that's not yet ready for use.

Re: Signature uploading?
Well, can't wait. I had a feeling that you might have thought of this already.
Have any other forums managed to implement something similar or would this be a first?

I use Adblock Plus add-on to block peoples signatures or avatars...
Re: Signature uploading?
Btw, we can set a lot of limitations in the signature settings of the admin panel. I'm just flexible because I think a lot of text gets boring. And since most people have decent broadband ... and gamers tend to have higher resolutions ... it isn't so bad.

Re: Signature uploading?
I never thought of doing that, what a great idea for blocking some of the overly large signatures! Thanks!ecstasy wrote:I use Adblock Plus add-on to block peoples signatures or avatars...
I have had the extension for ages but it never occurred to me to use it on anything but adverts.
