Gay RG

So I was trying to copy my ren folder and all the sh*t in it before I uninstalled and got this.


Any ideas? Should I be worried about this?

No, it's well known that the packaging software RenGuard uses is also used by a lot of trojans and such and therefore very often picked up as a false positive by virus scanners.

Indeed, but if you have not updated then the old exe will still be there. My laptop for example still has the old one, as I never bother to run RG anymore so it never got updated.

f*ck that I dont use rg, I had it when I first loaded my ren to update sh*t and that was it. My game shortcut on my desktop was my game2.exe or whichever the non rg exe is.

^ As I assumed, hence why you have the old RG executable with the old wrapper software which triggers false antivirus warnings. I also modified all my Renegade shortcuts to go straight to game2.exe, as I have little use for RenGuard these days considering that the only people actually using RenGuard are the cheaters trying to use it to prove they are not cheating. These days running RenGuard is more likely to make server admins think you ARE cheating in my opinion.

...or punishing clean players who don't want to use a broken product. That's why we don't run RG on our servers at all. No point.
