Renegade download

My buddy has a cd key+ disks for rene, but he cant get it to install for some reason, anyone know of a legit(no spyware etc) download of full renegade for him? He owns the game but it isn't working for some reason. Thanks.

Whats the problem?

Ive honestly installed Ren on every type of comp.
TFD on Vista
Normal ren on Vista
TFD on windows
Normal Ren on windows.

At some point in time, ive hit problems on each install.

The main problem is the fact that he said he can't uninstall it, but he's telling me also that he wants to install it.
2 things he said exactly were:
1. It cannot find C. which I assume means C drive.
2. Uninstallation was done improperly. and I have no clue what could have happened there.

Im thinkin the kid is just f*cking stupid and needs help. Uninstall, Remove the disc, reboot and you should be able to delete all the files, empy trash can, reboot and install. It doesnt have to be on the c drive so stick it on a drive with space.

Go in program files and look for the ren folder that was started from his attempt of down load and delete it..re try down load again " may be thats will work"
I know I have a real copy and can not down load for any thing.
Cant we upload a copy of ours to him 'you guys'?..is there not a bit torrent for ren?

delete the entire renegade folder and everything included, go into regedit and delete the registry entries for renegade and renegade only, reinstall.

You shouldn't even need to bother with regedit.

of course then again if he can't find the c: drive, can we trust him not to screw up regedit?

You shouldn't even need to bother with regedit.

Except the installer will keep insisting it's already installed if you don't remove the registry entry.... never question the registry! It is always right.... as far as most installers are concerned anyway.

Nah it's fine for me.

1. Run the uninstall program located in the Renegade folder.
2. Delete the remains of the Renegade folder.
3. Install Renegade (restart first if you want to be extra careful).
4. Download patch v1.037.
5. Install scripts.
6. Install skins.

Works every time for me.

maybe he needs to put as launch as administrator if he has vista.
Does he have a hard drive or one of those gay external drives.
If he found his comp in the trash, put it back......

Either way, ecstasy has a download to renegade. But someone with a cd and serial shouldnt need it if they have an iq over 5.

well if you do actually own the game its perfectly legal to download a seperate copy, atleast thats how it was back in the day when roms were real popular

I have created two ISOs (one for each disc) and I'm currently compressing them (into a .rar). I set the option to use maximum compression (reduce file size, thus making the download a little faster) ....... and will upload this to the TsuGaming website overnight.

When it's done uploading tomorrow, I will provide a link in this topic - and have BassAce (http://renegade.tsugaming.com webmaster) create a link for the download for future ease of use.
