I took a look at the vid but im not to sure. it might be a cheat. it might not. lokking at the vid i see what looks like it could be the tip of a ramjet rifle in the corner of one of the shots. you can replay vid and watch the left side and see what i meen.

No, im certain that is a bullet hole from when we were fighting in that tun. but i have taken ur ss that u have and i have circled where the guy is. The water makes it hard to see him and u will prob have to zoom in to see it(ctrl +) on spocks. I am already zoomed in on my ss.

Did you talk to hilary after that? If she could confirm that this situation is accurate... That this guy shot through the glass, then its fairly obvious... I'm going to go look into some logs...

It's fishy, but I'm not banning him for that. I was looking through logs, but then i noticed you said bot was down -_-... And flood you talking about glass shooting? I thought that was fixed with some patch or another ?

Re: Someone to keep an eye out for.
Yes i thought it was fixed by a patch as well. This was his second time doing it to me and Hilary was rightbehind him when he killed me the first time. I'm not really asking for him to be banned (that will be a decsion made by the mods) but i am asking that if you see him in game, keep an eye on him.

Re: Someone to keep an eye out for.
Glass shooting is fixed client side by Core Patch 2 (and maybe CP1 also), but regardless of what version the server has, if the client does not have CP2 (or CP1) then the fix is not applied to them and they can still continue to shoot through the glass since hit determination and damage calculation is client side.
Re: Someone to keep an eye out for.
I really don't know many people who use RenGuard anymore (which is traditionally how CP is distributed). Perhaps you can enable RenGuard on the server just to be able to use the commands and see who is running it, but then disable all of the commands (such as !forcerg). Just a thought.

Re: Someone to keep an eye out for.
Or just check their scripts version, it its above 2.6 (IIRC) or so then glass shooting is blocked for them. It's not specifically CP2 that fixes it, but the scripts.dll version thats included as part of CP2. But, most people who would update their scripts also install CP2, hence why I simplified above.

That makes more sense, thank you for clarifying that Dan.danpaul88 wrote:It's not specifically CP2 that fixes it, but the scripts.dll version thats included as part of CP2
