Here are the results of our discussions, and ultimately the decisions that I have made on related topics:
- The leadership structure as a whole has been completely redone. There are now four distinct leadership tiers. From the highest, down - they are: Executive Board, The Council, Management, and Staff.
- The previous function of the Council has been split between two groups: "The Council" and "Management". The Council will act as more of a guiding force, whereas the Management will execute the daily leadership requirements on behalf of the Council.
- The new Executive Board tier consists of leaders I will directly appoint and remove as I see fit. The Executive Board as a whole will function as a "Quality Assurance" and "Owner" group. They will not be involved in day-to-day management of the community or even Council meetings. One member of the Executive Board will oversee the Council directly, and will serve as the Chairman of the Council. The purpose of the Board is to ensure the Council is adhering to the guidelines and ethics I have set forth for this community when I designed it. The Executive Board is the Checks and Balances system and functional ownership of Tsunami Gaming.
- The purpose of redefining the Council's function and adding another tier of leadership is to give each tier of leadership more broad and flexible decision-making authority to better serve the community.
- And the ultimate reason for all of these changes is two fold: (1) to ensure the survivability of the community in my absence (2) to reverse the decline in activity in the community by facilitating the expansion of the community through modular growth and leadership.
