MIRC help

i just moved in to college and i now have to log in to cisco clean access agent then the internet and the IRC server is refusing my connection can anyone help me with this?

You may have 6667 (or IRC protocol) filtered.

Sounds like your college is blocking IRC connections then.

I opened that port just now.

It's more likely that all ports are blocked by default and you would need to make a specal request to have it opened, so just picking random ports won't help.
