What the hell does this mean? I found it on my server after checking the event logs today... Google Wasn't much help. First time seeing it, and it only happened once, but I still want to know what it means.

Re: Disk Controller error
Could be an early sign of impending drive failure... good idea to make sure you take a backup of everything you need off that disk and keep backing it up regularly. How old is the disk?
Re: Disk Controller error
the disk is only 7 months old.
If this means drive falure, than I'm just going to get a new one right away. I don't take risks like this...

Re: Disk Controller error
It doesn't necessarily mean drive failure, but controller errors are an indicator of a *potential* failure. Can also be a completely harmless blip in performance.

Well it only showed up once...

Re: Disk Controller error
Until I read these posts I didn't even realise there was a typo in the topic title, my brain just read it as 'Disk Controller error'... guess I am hardwired for auto-correct
