scripts 3.4

Renegade scripts 3.4 issue. I downloaded and installed scripts3.4 from the (is your renegad up to date section here) but did not check the boxes for all the other stuff thats optional. Then when ingame Ive seen some players check to see whos running what version and my name doesent pop up for 3.4 it doesent pop up at all actually. Anybody know any way to tell what version im running and if i needed to check those boxes for the optional stuff?

"scripts" contains 3 files, no matter what the version. Scripts.dll scripts2.dll and bhs.dll. Have all 3 of those in your renegade folder of the correct version and it will say you run that version. The optional files are keys.exe (which goes in your renegade folder) and keys.cfg (which goes in data) and are only necessary if you want hotkeys working, ex: 'end' for !c4

Anything else is definately not required for the bullshit that is scripts 3 4, and if you have some in your installer/archive (find an archive and dont use the automatic bs) i recommend you run a virus scan.

But in any case, your not good enough to need this patch so do the smart thing, and go with 2.9. In all honesty 3.4 does nothing but hinder gameplay.

I've never seen any noticeable hindrances by using 3.4... even with everything installed with it =/
