Webserver & Teamspeak OUTAGE

Post by fl00d3d »

ALL:

The website(s) and Teamspeak server will both be offline for at least a few hours sometime this evening.

I am personally rebuilding a new webserver and will be migrating the website(s) and tsugaming teamspeak server over to it. I can't predict how long it will take because it all depends on how fast the migration software moves the data between the two virtual servers and how fast your internet service provider updates DNS.

If you're able to see this message right now, then the outage has not yet taken place. So please spread the word for those who won't be able to read this in time. I don't want a hundred emails or pms on MSN about the website being down. They will be ignored. The website(s) and teamspeak will be up as quickly as I can get them all back online. Since the webserver portion affects more people and is also our primary form of communication, it will be put online first (before the teamspeak server). I'm sorry if this affects any scheduled matches or practices.

These changes are being made to provide you with a more secure and stable internet presence. Thank you for your patience.

Webserver migration is complete.

Teamspeak is still being migrated. I am going to keep the server on the same IP so that you don't have to worry about address changes. So other than the actual files/database being moved and temporarily offline - there shouldn't be too much downtime.

Please report ALL issues.

Teamspeak is still down (and will remain down until I get Tsulutions.com back online). I'm busy for the next few hours with school, but after that I will be home and should be able to get everything back to how it was. Aside from these last two things, the migration was a near perfect transition.

Hmm, I'm using Night regulator For my FDS bot and it can't find the IRC server list after it was moved.

They won't be coming back. Anything posted to the website during the transition was lost. I locked the forums, so the only people that should have been able to post would have been moderators (who should know not to make posts while the site is being migrated).

I actually meant some shouts from before the migration were also missing, but I guess it was just inactive over those days.

Edit: The site was also down a few hours before I posted this
